Select an area away from your dog’ s food and bed and lay pee pad down. Try to keep the pad in the same place. Introduce your pet to the pad by placing them on it several times to sniff and become familiar.
When your dog goes on the pad, immediately reward them with praise and a treat.
If your dog eliminates somewhere else, place dog on the pee pad immediately to encourage them to eliminate there.
Dispose of soiled pads and replace as needed.
